My work is person centered, meaning that each session is guided by the client.

I aim to create a space that empowers my clients to express themselves in a safe and comfortable manner. Building on a foundation of trust, I use a trauma informed, psychodynamic framework to understand your worldview. I personalize treatment by integrating culturally responsive interventions, acceptance commitment strategies, and DBT techniques.

Areas of focus

  • Navigating adulthood in the post-pandemic world has created a new level of complexity during this pivotal life stage as individuals step into adulthood. Together, we will explore social anxiety, career paths, relationship dynamics, and independence using existential therapy, narrative therapy, and life coaching to build self-awareness and develop problem-solving skills that align with your values and goals. Our work will create a foundation of managing stress and making informed decisions to promote mental well-being.

  • My work with you will provide support, guidance, and tools to cope with the challenges and emotional upheaval that often accompany major life changes. Using strategies to promote mindfulness and address negative thought patterns, we will work to foster resilience in the face of difficult transitions such as divorce, career shifts, relationship distress, loss, or retirement.

  • Together, we will focus on understanding and accepting your true self.  Cultural expectations, gender norms, and binary definitions of sexuality can limit our full expression of ourselves. I use culturally responsive strategies to identify patterns and influences that shape your identity, acknowledging the systemic and societal barriers that you may be facing. With guided self-reflection, we will address identity confusion, conflict, or crisis to gain self-acceptance, resilience, and a holistic understanding of who you are as your identity shifts and changes.

  • Parenthood is an unpredictable, thrilling journey. Whether you are facing prenatal/postpartum anxiety, navigating life with a post-pandemic teen, or struggling with work-life balance our work will focus on enhancing parental well-being and strengthen relationships. I employ techniques from family therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness to develop effective communication strategies and promote emotional regulation to build confidence in parenting roles.

  • Our work will tease out the joys of high achievements from the lows of burnout and dissatisfaction to identify your motivations for unattainable standards and fears of failure. By exploring the roots of perfectionistic tendencies and challenging them using CBT strategies, we will cultivate acceptance and resilience in the face of imperfection and setbacks. Together, we will harness your strengths and develop a more balanced, self-compassionate sense of self-worth.

  • If you are finding that your needs and sense of self are getting lost in the needs of others, we will work to reconnect you with your authentic voice so you can make decisions for your highest self-care. Together, we will explore the underlying motivations for codependent strategies such as excessive caregiving, people pleasing, and the need to control or fix situation and re-build your core self and with compassion.

  • Whether you and your partner are looking to work on specific challenges or don’t know where to begin, our work will focus on identifying the patterns and dynamics that are impacting your relationship. I use a Gottman approach to better manage conflict and strengthen connections. I work with couples managing infidelity, co-parenting, and life transitions.
