My therapeutic approach is integrative, combining elements from different theories and modalities to tailor the process to each client’s needs. My style largely reflects my personality, curious and warm, drawing from person-centered therapy to build a supportive and empathetic therapeutic space.

For the first few sessions, individual and couples work will be a bit more structured as I learn about client history and background. As we build the foundation of the therapeutic relationship, I allow the client to take the lead as we deepen the emotional experience and bring unconscious thoughts and beliefs to the surface. My role is to hold space with empathy, while sharing observed patterns of behavior and gently challenging clients when needed. Each session is focused on learning about each client’s values, unconscious core beliefs, and deep needs. Gaining this level of self-awareness will support the client’s ability to make intentional choices that better suits their needs.

I work with clients on a weekly basis to maintain the consistency of the work. I do not offer bi-monthly sessions during the early stages of the therapeutic process but have moved long-term clients to bi-monthly sessions when appropriate.
-
When life happens and you need to cancel a session, there is 48-hour window from the time of your session to cancel via email, phone call, or voicemail. Outside of the 48-hour window, you will be charged the full fee for our session.

My natural tendency is not to assign homework, but I do provide mindfulness strategies and emotional regulation techniques that I encourage clients to practice between sessions.
-
Each journey is different and dependent on the client’s needs and goals. Many times client goals shift and change so my work fosters transparency and ongoing communication about how clients perceive their therapeutic progress.

I currently do not offer baking therapy but recommend baking as a means towards mindfulness. Preparing food can be used as a means of showing care to yourself or others, while combating negative emotions such as anxiety, stress, and depression.
